Abstract

MORDUCHOWICZ, Alejandro. Argentine education funding. Propuesta educativa (Online) [online]. 2019, n.52, pp.11-23. ISSN 1995-7785.

In this article, a set of questions is raised from which to start to approach educational financing in a federal country like Argentina, whose particularity consists in the decentralized management of educational institutions in sub-national governments. Explore regional disparities in the distribution of investment levels with respect to educational effort and educational spending per student as equity measures of that same investment. Outline the tensions of educational federalism in which the national State concentrates higher levels of resources than the sub-national states that govern the institutions, to finally contribute an approach about the pending challenges of educational federalism and the institutional capacities of the national State and sub-national governments.

Keywords : Educational Financing; Federalism; Educational Equity; Educational Expenditure.
