Abstract

ACOSTA, FELICITAS  and  GRAIZER, OSCAR. Secondary schools and broadening the context of transmission in pandemic. A discussion about school segmentation from the contributions of the National Evaluation of the Pedagogical Continuity Process (ENPCP) 2020-2021. Propuesta educativa (Online) [online]. 2022, n.57, pp.31-57. ISSN 1995-7785.

The article analyses the development of schooling forms during the Covid-19 pandemic between 2020 and 2021 in secondary schools in Argentina. It focuses explicitly on describing some dimensions of the institutional organization and teaching during the reference period according to the supply management sector. Following the characterization of each sector's category, it problematizes the relationship between certain supply conditions, whether state or private, and possible differential effects according to the alterations in the form of schooling due to the expansion of the context of transmission in a pandemic.

The article's main argument maintains that the interruption of face-to-face schooling and its rearrangement expanded the context of transmission (spaces and temporalities of school education) and altered other principles that regulate pedagogical communication. Consequently, the institutional conditions of the state or private sector unit would be the result of the combination of the organization of supply's attributes, those of the population served by each sector (socioeconomic level) and those related to the schooling trajectory.

The work uses data from a simple panel study 2020-2021 on the National Evaluation of the Pedagogical Continuity Process (ENPCP) carried out in an agreement between the Secretariat of Evaluation and Educational Information (SEIE) of the Ministry of Education and the project "The reconfiguration of inequalities linked to Argentine secondary education in a pandemic/post-pandemic situation" (PISAC-COVID 19 - 00023).
