The non-formal and informal learning of young people and adults must be valued and made visible and will increasingly acquire centrality in the updating processes in the different jobs due to technological advances and productive development. That is why the recognition of knowledge comes to revolutionize the educational system, especially professional technical education. This recognition policy has several relevant aspects: it facilitates transitions and continuity of studies, it also provides the possibility for people to accredit a labor competence for insertion into the labor market, and there is a third function that is when it is already In the workplace, the person and the employee want to determine what are the gaps that person has in terms of their competencies and what kind of additional training they need. This article aims to give visibility to the different actions that have been developed on the recognition of knowledge in workers in Argentina, especially in the jurisdictions of Autonomous City of Buenos Aires (CABA) and the province of Buenos Aires. The methodology used was through documentary surveys on the experiences developed, as well as conducting in-depth interviews with key actors. The research questions focused on inquiring about the mechanisms that are developed for recognition policies, the role of government and social actors in said process, the devices developed and the strategies for their development at the local and institutional level.
