This work provides some innovative and useful research tools to carry out a Political-Critical Analysis of the press as an actor of predominant power, from a post-Marxist approach. It proposes resources to analyze the media construction of news, the framing, the positions of the press about other actors, and the modes of distortion, recontextualization, exclusion and false information. Then, it provides tools for the study of the written press in a comparative perspective. In the second part, it proposes methodological strategies for empirical-discursive research on the press and exemplified about its uses.
