Abstract

FERNANDEZ, Patricia E.; GONZALEZ, Eduardo M.  and  SOLBES, Jordi. Evolution of teachers' conceptions about duality in quantum physics. Rev. enseñ. fís. [online]. 2021, vol.33, n.1, pp.21-30. ISSN 0326-7091.

This study shows changes in conceptions about the concept of duality in quantum physics in a group of teachers, before and after a training course. Evolution diagrams are presented as a methodological instrument for analyzing and visualizing results. The evolution diagrams show initial and arrival categories of the conceptions of teachers, who participated in a teaching-learning sequence based on the discussion of classic models of waves and particles, their validity limits and each one's contributions to the current model of struc- ture of matter, in which there is no talk of waves, not particles, but of characteristics different from those of classical physics.

Keywords : Duality in quantum physics; Evolution of concepts; Teaching through models; Teacher training; Conceptions.
