Abstract

VUKSINIC, Natalia. Desarrollo, educación y desigualdad: el Informe Educación, recursos humanos y desarrollo económico-social del CONADE (Argentina, 1955-1973). Hist. educ. anu. [online]. 2019, vol.20, n.2, pp.1-10. ISSN 2313-9277.

From establishing the main changes and modifications that introducedthe developmentalism in economic matters but on social whole, both in Latin America and in our country, this paper will attempt to give an account of how the educational variable operated in such characterization and why. Well known has been the phrase education as an engine for development to explain this historicalperiod. We then ask ourselves what meant to think education as an engine of development? What features he assumed this development in our country? How do have combined those features in educational matters in connection with the growing inequality? In order to determine the articulation between development, education and inequality, this paper proposes an analysis of the report of the CONADE (1968) Education, human resources and economic and social development, which gives an account of the construction of the premise of an education for development, for efficiency and theperspective economist in education. The analysisproposed here allows to reconstruct about which diagnostics of the educational system and the social reality were based the ongoing reforms and what consequences had a posteriori.

Keywords : Development, education, inequality, CONADE, decade of 1960..
