Abstract

This article search on the middle school Gymnasium’s foundational context and pretends to give elements about the ideas and reasons of the pedagogical thought. Gymnasium’s foundation elapsed during the period characterized like as classic peronism and reveals the senses produced about the middle school as a resistance social-space in opposition to the peronist educational project, although that Gymnasium it’s one expression of the modernization in the National University of Tucuman under HoracioDescole’s government.

This article analyzes the mixed Gymnasium’s curriculum, which produce between the classic humanism and pedagogical activism. For that, rebuild the classic peronism context and this historical experience in Tucuman, local stage where the Comisión de Notables, who is the responsible in the Gymnasium pedagogical project, develops their activities.

In this way, we will work on the Gymnasium’s traits that enroll the institution in the modernization process in the National University of Tucuman, the internal discuss and multidimensional dispute that overlap on the social campus. The research is based in official documents and public discourses.
