Abstract

ABRAHAM, Luis Emilio. Figuras de inhumanidad: memoria y posdictadura en el teatro de Rafael Spregelburd. CELEHIS [online]. 2016, n.31. ISSN 2313-9463.

This paper studies memory in plays by Rafael Spregelburd. Although the explicit representation of Argentinian traumatic past is unfrequent in his dramatic work, it is possible to read hesitations in accepting the dominant patterns used to represent the recent past and the dominant values attributed to social memory. Then Spregelburd's plays can be related to some features pointed out by critical readings about Post-dictatorship generations, but mainly focused in narratives. His approach to the topic develops as follows: a restoration of oblivion's functions first and, in the end, the complexity of memory due to the appearance of socio-historical experience under the guise of inhumanity.

Keywords : Memory - Post-dictatorship - Argentinian Theatre - Rafael Spregelburd.
