Abstract

CALOMARDE, Nancy. Islands in trance. Fiction of deterritorialization in recent Cuban literature. CELEHIS [online]. 2019, n.37, pp.1-5. ISSN 2313-9463.

The present work aims to investigate the notions of exile territoriality that build some Cuban fictions of recent years, as stories of deterritorilization or exile fictions that ask about the ways of inhabiting (bodies and territories) the insular experience. First, the article investigates some debates about the role of territoriality in the Cuban scriptures of the last decades, in particular the geographic mark of the exile of the Calibans as it has worked in some intellectuals of the diaspora. Secondly, it is investigated in the way in which some writings belonging to the so-called "Generation 0", auscultate a interlude of the spatial and temporal experience, called "territory of survival", as a projection of another location in the Cuban archive.

Keywords : Territoriality; deterritorialization; Cuban fiction; Generation..
