Abstract

MARQUEZ, Joaquín. Another way to write on the edges: Argentine post-dictatorship criticism (1985-2000). CELEHIS [online]. 2021, n.41, pp.61-70. ISSN 2313-9463.

This paper starts from the observation that the transformations showed by a "literature that work with the remains of the real" (Garramuño 2008) emerged in the mid-1970's appear a decade later in Argentine literary criticism. In this sense, It raises that a series of operations and interventions of the critic are conceived and constitute as another way to write on the edges of institutional, cultural, social and politics speeches and processes (Parchuc 2014). We propose to read the notion of edge ─as limit, margin, border and remains─ in a set of critical texts by Enrique Pezzoni, Josefina Ludmer, Nicolás Rosa and Jorge Panesi, which are materially located on the edges of their texts and reflect on criticism itself. This notion of edge is analyzed in relation to the different conceptions and meanings of the critics' interventions: their themizations, operations, ways of intervention in the academic, cultural and critical fields, and mainly the specific link that each critic proposes to establish with literature. Thus, we seek to show similarities but also differences between their different ways of conceiving and practicing criticism.

Keywords : Argentine critic; post-dictatorship; edges; interventions; operations.
