Abstract

GASILLON, María Lourdes. Bernardo Kordon, un escritor relegado en el campo intelectual. Un recorrido por su trayectoria a veinte años de su muerte. CELEHIS [online]. 2022, n.44, pp.11-11. ISSN 2313-9463.

In this paper we intend to review some aspects of the course of Bernardo Kordon (1915-2002), who wrote travel stories, short stories and novels, put together film scripts, made several trips and positioned himself in the intellectual field with an ideology that sympathized with the left of Mao Tse-Tung's Communist China. Despite the importance and validity that Kordon had until the eighties of the last century, a sector of critics, publishers and readers were “forgetting” him. For this reason, twenty years after his physical disappearance, our intention is to remember him and revalue him as a relevant writer of the literary canon who, through his texts and journalistic work, painted in detail the main characteristics and customs of life in the city and the characters marginals that inhabit it.

Keywords : Bernardo Kordon; intellectual path; marginal writer; Maoism; urban narrative.
