Abstract

MONTOYA, Pablo. Sobre literatura y violencia: a propósito de La sombra de Orión. CELEHIS [online]. 2023, n.45, pp.6-6. ISSN 2313-9463.

The present conference carries out a journey through the interrogations that were implied in the writing process of the novel The Shadow of Orion. Starting from the question of how it is possible to write the violence exerted on an individual or even present in the story itself, a journey is made through the devices that are embedded in fiction to give an answer. Classic myths are proposed as one of the first possibilities, followed by the construction of cartographies that materialize the absence of forced disappearance, a ghost that still haunts Colombian history. The bases of a writing that inhabits the interstice between fiction and reality, intrinsically linked to its context and concerned about the ways in which it can be constructed literaryly, are exposed.

Keywords : myth; cartographies; forced disappearance; violence; Colombian literature.
