Abstract
SCHCOLNICOV, Eugenio. Expresionismo y dirección escénica: apropiaciones y supervivencias en el teatro de Buenos Aires durante la última dictadura militar (1976-1983). CELEHIS [online]. 2023, n.46, pp.7-7. ISSN 2313-9463.
The following study aims to analyze the re-elaboration of some procedures of theatrical expressionism in the staging of Marathon (1980), a play written by Ricardo Monti and directed by Jaime Kogan in the context of the last Argentine military dictatorship (1976-1983). In the first part of this study, we will elaborate a brief description of the main features that define theatrical expressionism and its scenic forms. Afterwards, we will describe the staging strategies elaborated by Kogan, focusing on the spatial conceptions of the spectacle and on some components of its mise-en-scène. In the conclusions of this analysis, we will identify the dialogue between Marathon and the social-historical series during the last Argentine military regime.
