Abstract

GOLOVANEVSKY, Laura  and  SCHORR, Martín. Estructura productiva y distribución del ingreso en Jujuy en la primera década del siglo XXI: el círculo vicioso del subdesarrollo. Pampa [online]. 2013, n.9, pp.11-44. ISSN 2314-0208.

Once convertibility was abandoned it seemed that it began to take shape a new productive structure, which somehow mimic some of the features of the model of industrialization by imports substitution that had distinguished the political economy of early peronist administrations. However, at the level of regional economies, particularly those of Argentinian north, such reconfiguration seems to have operated strengthening the existing productive structures, setting off a reprimarization of the local economies. In this context, the present article analyses the relationship between changes in productive structure in posconvertibility, the labour-distribution matrix (a regressive one) and the model of Jujuy’s economic development, in the understanding that the interplay of this factors generates a vicious circle of poverty in the province. Besides, the article presents some proposals with strategic lines to modify the diagnosed situation.

Keywords : Vicious circle; Productive structure; Poverty; Underdevelopment.
