Abstract

This article seeks to explain the urban emergency that erupted -or made visible- in December 2010 with the taking of lands by low-income sectors in the Indoamericano Park. While the range of possible explanations can be very wide and varied, in this paper we work on a analysis of the structural causes of urban emergency based on the exploration of the existing housing situation in the City of Buenos Aires,³ to account for the background of the decision.
