Abstract

SCHMIDT, Mariana Andrea. Territorio(s), desarrollo (in)sustentable y naturaleza colonizada: Una propuesta de abordaje conceptual. Pampa [online]. 2014, n.10, pp.101-129. ISSN 2314-0208.

Since the last decades of the 20th century, disputes over territory, different possible development models, and different forms of appraising nature have become nodal points in the political and academic debate in Latin America. In this article, we intend to introduce the main discussions over said categories, which in the framework of our doctoral thesis have been established around the process, started in 2008, of demand, development, formulation and implementation of policies of Territorial Planning of Native Forests in the province of Salta. Since this area is currently of major relevance, due to the fact that territory and environment are in conflict with extractive operations gaining ground over nature (not only in Argentina but also in a regional context), we consider the conceptual approach proposed may become a breeding ground for the analysis of similar cases.

Keywords : Territory; Development; Sustainability; Nature; Environment.
