Abstract

OLIVERA RAVASI, Javier P.. Desobediencia debida: Justificación doctrinal del alzamiento cristero. México (1926-1929). Rev. hist. am. argent. [online]. 2012, vol.47, n.1, pp.11-38. ISSN 2314-1549 .

The Mexican Catholic insurrection against anti-Catholic laws passed during the presidency of Plutarco Elias Calle, between 1926 and 1929, remains, to date, very little known. There are few who, through hard work, have dusted off the old files of a story that still sparks controversy. This article is tested through the review of Catholic doctrine, that the "Cristero case" was the practical application of the ancient right of rebellion against an oppressive government.

Keywords : México; Cristero insurrection; 1926-1929; Catholic doctrine.
