Abstract
GORZA, Anabella. LA MILITANCIA FEMENINA EN LA RESISTENCIA PERONISTA TRAVÉS DE LA PRENSA OPOSITORA (1955-1958): Nora Lagos y los periódicos La Argentina y Soberanía1. Rev. hist. am. argent. [online]. 2016, vol.51, n.1, pp.131-167. ISSN 2314-1549.
In this article, we attempt to address the female participation in the Peronist Resistance, a process which took place in Argentina after Juan D. Perón's overthrow in 1955 and the beginning of the 60's. Our approach is based on the analysis of Nora Lagos' biography, a journalist who channeled her militancy in an eminently politicized press which was against the Revolución Libertadora. The findings we gathered from the analysis of the newspapers published by Nora, La Argentina and Soberanía, the testimonies about her in other newspapers and books, and interviews to her closest relatives and people who know her, have allowedus to trace some aspects of her carrier. From these findings we attempt to reflect on the motivations involved in militant practice, the public and private articulation and the relationship between militancyand everyday life. Moreover, and related to what was previously said, we attempt to think about the role which women have played in the accounts on the Peronist Resistance, both academic and militant, and in historiography in general; and the gender implications which have affected it.
