The impulse given to Catholic Action since 1936 can be understood as a strategy of the Diocese of Rio Cuarto to argue sabattinism, considered as the Cordovan incarnation of two of the main threats that tormented the Church at that time: secularism and communism. It became one of the main weapons for the re-Christianization of society through the conquest of different spaces of sociability: family, friends, work. In particular, it sought to build ties with key figures in the social, political and military fields. For this, the strategy of multi-referentiality was fundamental from the revitalization of existing organizations and the creation of new ones under the direction of Catholic militants.
