Abstract

The present work is a part of a larger investigation whose purpose is to understand the cycle of revolutions in Entre Ríos, between the years 1830 and 1831. It analyzes in a particular way the role of the provincial Congress in López Jordán's revolution in 1830. The fact does not it was analyzed in a particular way by historiography. Here the image of passive provincial congresses or totally subordinate to the executive power of the day is questioned. On the contrary, it is a matter of pointing out that the intervention of the Entre Ríos Provincial Congress at this juncture has rates of change according to the correlation of forces of the moment, managing to survive the revolution. The sources belong to the Government section of the Historical Archive of Entre Ríos, and to the Urquiza Fund of the General Archive of the Nation.
