Abstract

This research seeks to reflect upon the social impact on the graduates from the University Corporation MINUTO DE DIOS, more specifically those graduates of Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Recreation and Sport, of the cohort from 2014-10 (first semester) to 2017-60 (second semester). The development of this study was done though activities focused on topics socially related that emphasize the importance and significances of the competences developed by the graduates of this degree, which are part of the methodology and pedagogical model proposed by the university as producer of graduated professionals. The group consists of 491 graduates and 191 students were selected randomly from the cohort from 2014-10 (first semester) to 2017-60 (second semester), aged from 22 to 40 years old; 5 employers of this specific area, two private schools, 1 Compensation Entity, a swimming league and a gym, all of them located in Bogotá, Colombia. The mix methodology was used in this study and the instruments were: survey and open interview. The results show that the graduates have creativity and service innovation, and the biggest difficulty is the limited possibility to have Access to teaching updating, which is fundamental for professional so they can have a more dynamic and active role in the high quality standards. Besides, the employers describe the graduates as high quality professionals and humans in their job performance.
