Abstract

ONTANON BARRAGAN, Teresa et al. Corpo e arte: uma proposta pedagógica na Educação Física a partir da bola de equilíbrio circense. Educ. fís. cienc. [online]. 2019, vol.21, n.2, pp.76-76. ISSN 2314-2561.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.24215/23142561e076.

In the past few years the pedagogical potential of circus activities has attracted the attention of many Physical Education teachers, especially those who work in the school context, revealing an approach that can foster a body education in dialogue with art. In the extensive repertoire of circus artistic practices, we find the modalities of balance on objects (funambulism), among which stand out the unicycle, stilts, tightrope, balancing ball, rola-rola, between others, whose practice constitutes a particular form of dialogue with risks aesthetics. Grounded in the field of body balance, these practices require special attention from teachers, aiming at offering a pedagogical praxis that is playful, engaging, safe and that also privileges its expressive dimension. The present article discusses basic elements for the teaching of balancing ball, seeking, in addition, to foster this practice among professionals who venture into the teaching of circus activities and who seek a Physical Education closer to artistic-aesthetic education.

Keywords : Funambulism; Circus; Chinese Ball; Pedagogy; Balance.
