Abstract

This study sought to highlight the profile of publications that have been published in the journal linked to the Latin American institution specialized in socio-cultural discussions of sport on the continent, Asociación Latino Americana de Estudios Socioculturales del Deporte (ALESDE). For this, the content of articles published in the journal was analyzed from its creation in 2011, until the last issue published in 2019. We found a total of 104 studies produced in various countries and institutions, predominantly from South America, which addressed different topics, but all of them contribute to social and human sciences, showing that the studied journal fulfills its efforts to promote research exclusively, such as theoretical subsidies and mostly from the region in question.
