Street running is a rising sport in Brazil. Every year more people start to practice this sport. For this reason, knowing the runner's profile is essential for the Physical Education professional to create performance strategies for this audience. Thus, the objective of this study was to describe the profile of street runners in the city of Chapecó-SC. For this purpose, 54 runners of both genders participated in the study, aged between 18 and 59 years. To determine the runner's profile, an online questionnaire was applied, comprising questions of sociodemographic and anthropometric nature, training dimensions and behaviors associated with running. The data were analyzed in a descriptive and inferential manner, using SPSS® version 21.0. It was found that 55.56% were women with an average age of 38.15 (SD 8.61) years, being recreational runners (64.81%) and training under the guidance of a Physical Education professional (74.07%). Thus, it is concluded that the profile of the Chapecoense runner is predominantly female, with a high level of education, recreational runner, who receive professional guidance for training and who declare to know the training methods applied by their trainer.
