Abstract

MERINO, Gabriel. Strategic projects and regional integration in the global historical transition: Latin America between open regionalism and autonomous regionalism. Relac. int. [online]. 2017, vol.26, n.52, pp.17-38. ISSN 2314-2766.

This paper aims to account for the principal models and visions of regional integration, in relation to strategic political projects developed in Latin America. In a context of crisis World Order and geostrategic transition is necessary to analyze to see the regional dynamics. Attention is paid in particular to the development from century XXI of "autonomous" regionalism, features and projects that support and on the other hand, the reappearance of "open" regionalism from the development of the Pacific Alliance. They are typified strategic political projects developed in the region and its relationship with the paradigms of integration, considering some strategic actors, speeches and ideologies in conflict.
