As of late, drones have become a lethal weapon in the service of the great world powers and, especially, of the United States. Born as civilian observation vehicles, drones have turned into killing machines capable of working thousands of kilometers aways from their operators, which seriously increases how impersonal and perverse the “pilots” operating them are. In the words of a renown analyst, “this has to do with pro- jecting power without any vulnerability”, that is to say, free of danger in the case of the operator and with high risks of “collateral damage” involving innocent people. Frequently used in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Irak and Yemen by the USAF, these devices pose legal, ethical and psychological complications as soon as armed combats become hunting op- erations between someone in hiding and someone in search for them from a video game-like screen.
