Abstract

Multiple Correspondence Analysis, a statistical technique used by Pierre Bourdieu, recently began to be used for the study of international relations. The purpose of this article is to present the methodology that supports the use of MCA and review its use in International Relations literature. First, an introduction toMCA will be madeand its relationship with the concept of “field” will be established. Then, the relationship between Sociology and International Relations will be discussed. And, finally, some examples of research using ACM will be presented in detail.
