This article intends to approach the analysis of the sovereignty dispute around the rock of Gibraltar between the Kingdom of Spain and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, based on the studies that take into consideration the value of the territory as an explanatory factor for the continued territorial disputes. This is part of a broader investigation that studies the durability of international disputes over the territory, emphasizing not legal issues or international law, but rather geography, as stemming from the way in which the territory in dispute is valued by the parties involved, considering that this is a fundamental factor to explain why they have not been solved yet.
