SANTY, Lucía Fernanda Flores and ZABALA, Boris Marcelo Torres. ASSESSMENT TOOLS FOR LIFE QUALITY IN CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE PATIENTS UNDERGOING HEMODIALYSIS. A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW. Rev. nefrol. dial. traspl. [online]. 2020, vol.40, n.2, pp.128-138. ISSN 2346-8548.
Introduction: Life quality in patients suffering from chronic kidney disease may be affected, especially when they receive replacement therapy, like hemodialysis. Objective: The aim of this review was to identify the life quality assessment questionnaires most frequently used with chronic kidney disease patients undergoing hemodialysis. Methods: A review of literature was carried out in the MedLine database following the PRISMA method. Results: Thirty-eight studies used generic and specific questionnaires to assess chronic kidney disease. The most frequently used tools were SF-36 (n=12, 27,91%) as generic questionnaire, and the KDQOL-SF (n=11, 25,58%) as specific questionnaire. Conclusions: The estimating life quality questionnaire most commonly used in hemodialysis is the Short Form (36 health survey), even more frequently than the specific questionnaire Kidney Disease Quality of Life, KDQOL-SF version.
