Aenigma H. A. Keller, a new genus of the family Apocynaceae is described on the basis of herbarium material collected in Misiones Province, Argentina and Amambay, Paraguay. Up to the present the genus comprises the two species described here: Aenigma patens H. A. Keller and Aenigma micrantha H. A. Keller.
