In this article we share some reflections and guidelines that have accompanied the extension practices promoted by the Unidad de Extensión of the Facultad de Ciencias Económicas y Administración of the Universidad de la República, Uruguay, in recent years. We make explicit our intention to work from the model of critical extension, knowing that in this path we coexist and dialogue with transference–type models. We present our university practices from the perspective of the integrality of functions, disciplines and knowledge. Finally, we rehearsed a dialogue between critical extension and feminist economics, in an effort to make visible the frameworks that make the sustainability of life and incorporate them as an economic field in our university work.
