From detecting a peculiar way of defining theoretically furniture design in Ignacio Pirovano´s designing conception, founded on the ideas of culture and form as basic constituent elements of their formulation, these notions are made problematic, associated with the author in order to determine their effect on the configuration of his furniture. Pirovano´s intellectual resource to consider two main notions of diverse origin, but clear and defined, allows us to test a joint explanation which can be developed from his own terms and concepts. We are trying to understand, researching into his documents, the size, the scope and derivations of this syncretic joint but profound, and we try to highlight the conceptual impact on some of his results as an expression of the theoretical conditions analyzed.
