Abstract

HENDLIN, Clara  and  KORNECKI, Sylvia. An architect's trips. An. Inst. Arte Am. Investig. Estét. Mario J. Buschiazzo [online]. 2016, vol.46, n.2, pp.133-146. ISSN 2362-2024.

This article's goal is to rebuild and analyze architect Hector Morixe's trips as a student and as a professional during his life, using the documents that exist in his professional archive, donated by his family to the Instituto de Arte Americano e Investigaciones Estéticas that belongs to the Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo at the Universidad de Buenos Aires (IAA-FADU-UBA). From this research, some questions appear that form the structure of this article. The following triggering questions are asked: Have the many trips in different stages of his life been determinant in his perspective as a person and as an architect? What was his experience in coming in contact with other realities and cultures? And finally, how did Morixe become a "Witness author" of his trips by preparing trips for his students?

Keywords : architectural trip; student; professional; tale.
