Abstract

The students of physical education during their training in institutions experience "repertoires of values" (Remedi, 2005, p.76), "rooted in a cultural system where the symbolic and imaginary are in jeopardy" (Remedi, 2005, p.11) assuming a "mode of socialization, or to be more precise, a relationship with the other" (Dubet, 2002, p.22). We were interested in making a research towards recognition of physical education teacher subject that trains in the Delegation of San Fernando at the National University of Luján. We focused on the role played by the institution in such process of teacher training. To do this we rely on the analysis of the stories of experiences of students in the context of the biographical-narrative perspective (Sautu, 1999; Aguirre, 1996; Arfuch, 2002, 1992, 2003; Balán y Jelin, 1979, etc.) which let us approach from individuals perspectives to what the institution says of itself.
