Abstract
BARRON TIRADO, María Concepción and DIAZ BARRIGA ARCEO, Frida. CURRICULUM Y PROCESOS DE CAMBIO, DELIBERACIÓN, CONVERSACIÓN Y AGENCIA HUMANA. Rev. Esc. Cienc. Educ. [online]. 2018, vol.1, n.13, pp.5-18. ISSN 1851-6297.
This article presents a theoretical conceptual approach to the understanding of the curriculum as a project and as a practice, situated in a context and socio-historical moment, with a multi-determined and complex character. We discuss a set of participation processes of different curriculum agents, from the standpoint of change (Bolivar), deliberation (Schwab), conversation (Pinar) and human agency (Giddens), around which curriculum change is made possible. These perspectives have been a milestone in curriculum theory and try to go beyond technical rationality, with which the curriculum is approached from a formal-structural reductionist position, to give way to a processual-practical analysis where conflict and the dialectic between control and autonomy permeate the daily lives of curriculum actors in the context of broader social-political processes.
