Abstract

ALTAMIRANDA, Daniel. Estrategias discursivas proto‒feministas en la poesía engagé de Noémia de Sousa. Taco brea [online]. 2023, n.18, e0117. ISSN 2362-4191.  http://dx.doi.org/https://doi.org/10.14409/eltaco.2023.18.e0117.

Notwithstanding the brevity of her literary production, forged in a period when the colonial disputes were growing up in the intellectual thought of her contemporaries, Noémia de Sousa became a main figure in Mozambican literature. Because of that her artistic expression, that was worth from a devastating criticism to the praise with she was treated in the last twenty years, enriched with the coming together of extremely significant elements: from colonial discourse, it sumps up two unquestionable components, her condition as a black person and as a woman. And the awareness of being a slave, including for the black male, which is for his part a slave of the white men. In this occasion, we try to offer a presentation of the issues involved in terms of the parameters of feminism, in this case, in its inception, and the engagé poetry.

Keywords : Noémia de Sousa; Mozambican literature; (proto)feminism; testimonial poetry; otherness.
