Abstract

Diffusedaestheticsis the formula bywhich the pervasivenessofaestheticphenomena in the currentscenarioissummarized: havingovercome the longphaseof the exclusive dominanceof art as the parameterofaestheticvalues, contemporaneity has recognizeditself in a pluralityofpractices in whicheven the non-aestheticisthought and experienced as aesthetic. The essayaimsto probe the theoreticalaspectsof this process in which material consumption and immaterialconsumption converge into a single, everyday and pervasivescenario. This definitionof a globalizedaesthetics, in which the role of the aesthetic in consumer culture isfullyactivated, has configuredfirstofall the oppositionbetween the aestheticization and the aestheticsof the everyday, oneapproachideological and critic and another more constrainedto the aestheticexperienceof the practicesof the contemporarylife-world.
