Abstract

PENSADO LEGLISE, Patricia. Imaginaries and integrated: The communist praxis of the twenties in Mexico. Av. Cesor [online]. 2017, vol.14, n.17, pp.117-133. ISSN 1514-3899.

The article looks over the influence of the October Revolution on Mexican Communists; it sketches out the perspective of the Communist Party of Mexico regarding the socialist revolution in Mexico during the 1920s and its Russian Revolution’s perception. The uneasy relationship between Mexican government diplomats and the Soviet government during the first two decades of the post-revolutionary government is displayed in general, in order to understand the attitude of the Mexican state toward communist revolutionaries. The creation of the Communist Party of Mexico and its relationship with the III International Communist is shown to understand the development, the debates, discussions, and turns of the Party’s policy during its first decade of existence, along with the work deployed to gain influence among workers and peasants.

Keywords : Russian Revolution; Communist Party of Mexico; Journeys of revolutionary culture; International Communist, Workers.
