The Expanded version of the International Affective Digitized Sounds (IADS-E) is a corpus of auditory stimuli with the ability to induce emotions in an experimental context. In Argentina there are validations of stimuli such as images or words. The aim of this work is to present the normative data for 180 sounds of the IADS-E. The sounds were rated by 272 volunteers using the Self-Assessment Manikin (SAM) a self-report measure that represents the three affective dimensions: valence, arousal, and dominance. The results show scores with high internal consistency for valence, arousal, and dominance. Also, the typical boomerang shape distribution was found in the bidimensional affective space formed by valence and arousal. Finally, the affective ratings were compared according to sex and participant’s country of origin. Differences between groups of men and women were not found. Results that show significant differences between the original and the Argentinian sample were only found in the arousal and dominance dimensions.
