Abstract

This article is a preliminary exercise of mapping the main routes associated with drug trafficking that had Argentina as one of its segments between 2000 and 2014. The descriptive concept of routes will allow us to order in a single scheme a series of data to reconstruct these illegal markets: the type of substances transported, the starting and destination points, the different modes of transport, the obstacles that networks and organizations had to overcome for the transit of substances (including, but not limited to, geographical borders), as well as the distribution of the different stages of production, distribution and consumption throughout its various constituent segments.
