Ricardo G. Capitanelli's career left indelible marks in the professional training of his students and disciples and was recorded in a masterly work focused on both the field of theory and applied science. His contributions and ideas remain vigorously valid and can be valued as principles that contribute to strengthening geography while clarifying issues that concern today's geographers. The following article tries to rescue and systematize some of his ideas, true pivots for the professional task from his particular geographical vision.
