Abstract

REBON, Julián; SUNICO, Agustina  and  HERNANDEZ, Candela. Power in conflict. Contentious repertoires of railway and oil workers during kirchnerism. Estud. trab. [online]. 2020, n.60, pp.1-25. ISSN 0327-5744.

This article theoretically and empirically addresses the contentious repertories of workers in socio-productive systems. We hold that the experience of struggle and power resources represent the two key dimensions involved in setting up their contentious repertoires. For the empirical contrast of the proposal, we address the case of urban trains in the Metropolitan Region of Buenos Aires and the oil company YPF in the Neuquina Basin for the period 2003-2015. The methodology used corresponds to two catalogues of own-made events bases on the systematic treatment of the national and local press from which we identify the main axes of confrontation and forms of collective expression.

Keywords : Power resources; Workers; Contentious repertoires; Social conflict..
