The purpose of this bibliographic review is to provide updated information about the characteristics of bovine teeth to be used as substitutes for human teeth in dental research. According to the information recorded, bovine teeth appear to be excellent substitutes for human dentition for conducting laboratory tests, using dental enamel as an experimental model.
