Abstract
GUIDO, Diego M. and DE BARRRIO, Raúl E.. Laguna Dulce: A new outcrop of the Río Deseado Complex, Deseado Massif, Santa Cruz province. Rev. Asoc. Geol. Argent. [online]. 2004, vol.59, n.2, pp.360-363. ISSN 0004-4822.
A new outcrop of the Río Deseado Complex, the igneous-metamorphic basement of the Deseado Massif, is described in the Dulce lagoon area. These rocks were called Laguna Dulce and represents the sixth recognized outcrop of this unit. It is located in the coastal sector of the Deseado Massif and it is represented by two small occurrences; the occidental one is composed of a gneiss and the eastern by a foliated leucogranite. The Laguna Dulce basement exposures represent the southernmost outcrop of the Río Deseado Complex and suggest the presence of a high structural block in the east of the Deseado Massif, possibly with a north-south strike.
