Abstract

CHAILE, Telma Liliana. Political accessions and civic-religious festivities of revolutionaries and realists in the intendency of Salta during the displacements of armies in pugna (1812-1813). Andes [online]. 2019, vol.30, n.2, pp.00-00. ISSN 1668-8090.

From the displacements of the Royal and Auxiliary Armies between 1812-1813 in the territory of the Intendancy of Salta, we pay attention to the contexts regarding the adhesions to the revolution or to the realistic cause and the realization of civic-religious celebrations. In the first part of the work we dealt with the relations between the revolutionary military forces and the local communities, the difficulties in gaining support and the means to generate loyalties, in order to trace the panorama in which the festivities took place. In the second part, we focused on the first civic-religious festivities during the initial period of the war, identifying the events that gave rise to it and the forms of celebration, with the purpose of analyzing the strategies and means through which those who were in The power sought to generate political accessions and were building a new symbolic plot, as well as forms of participation of different actors from the positions they occupied and the responses of local populations from the possible decision margins.

Keywords : Political adhesions; Civic-religious festivities; Armies; War; Intendancy of Salt.
