This paper presents an exploration about the issue of art and fashion. From the report of two cases of argentine author design it attempts to answer the presumption of whether or not to include what is considered art to small collections made by argentine artists. To do this, the specific cases of two well-known designers -Luz Pricipe and Marcelo Senra- are presented. Finally, the article refers to some of the cultural movements that emerged from social unrest due to, among other reasons, economic crises and changes produced by them. This discontent was manifested in all areas of art. The artists proclaimed the beauty of craftsmanship over machinery in series.
