Abstract

TOSI BRANDI, Elisa. El arte en el proceso creativo de la moda: algunas consideraciones a partir de un caso de estudio. Cuad. Cent. Estud. Diseño Comun., Ens. [online]. 2013, n.44, pp.167-173. ISSN 1853-3523.

In the last 30 years, Italian designers and artists have used art experimenting art combinations from different historical periods, what however, is not new in fashion history. In the early twentieth century, tailor Rosa Genoni won an award in the Milan Exhibition, offering dresses inspired by the works of Botticelli and Pisanello as a good example of a new Italian fashion. In recent decades, many are the uses of art in clothing design, more or less conscious, more or less explicit. In this paper we analyze several case studies, as Franco Moschino and Alberta Ferretti, who belong to the AEFFE group, in order to examine the role of art in the creative process in Italian fashion.
