The purpose of this text is to analyze the compositional logic of the academicist language, rescuing, above stylistic resources, the rules of classical composition and its essential principles that we will enunciate. Also, the notion of total work of art and the dissolution between major and minor arts will be investigated. To corroborate our statements we will take as a case study the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange designed by Alejandro Christophersen in 1914 and a luminaire designed by the same architect.
