Abstract

D’UVA, Florencia. Between the companies and the workers: The “yellow”  railway associations in Argentina, 1912-1922. Travesía (San Miguel de Tucumán) [online]. 2021, vol.23, n.2, pp.85-107. ISSN 2314-2707.

This article aims to reconstruct and examine the development of “yellow” associations in the railways, understood as part of the strategies that the companies implemented to control their staff and dispute the workers` representation to the unions. It seeks to analyse the motivations and purposes that they pursued, the reception and insertion that they had among the workforce, as well as the disputes that the railway workers and their unions established in this regard.
