Resumen

GUZMAN, Héctor Daniel. Tthe russian revolution and the historiography of the left in Santiago del Estero (1917-1920). Folia [online]. 2022, n.44, pp.99-114. ISSN 0325-8238.  http://dx.doi.org/10.30972/fhn.0446008.

This article analyzes the uses of the past that historians of a nascent left in the capital of Santiago del Estero (Argentina) built on the Russian revolution between 1917 and 1920, to shape certain representations of national history, which legitimized their interventions in the dispute over memory regarding other political sectors. In order to do this, a documentary research strategy was developed, which was based on publications of the selected group in the period and geographic space mentioned. The work shows the development of politics of history in these actors, who displayed an imaginary that provided a sense of meaning to their party identity and to their historiographic side-taking.
